Beginning in 2008, NCHS will implement the following grant categories and cycles:

Grant Requests and Cycles:

1. Letter of Inquiry requesting funds in excess of $250,000

• Accepted May 1 to August 15 of each calendar year. If approved, funding would be available for distribution after January 1 of the following year.

2. Letter of Inquiry requesting funds of $100,000 to $250,000

• Accepted throughout the calendar year. If approved, funding would generally be available for distribution within 90 days of board approval.

3. Letter of Inquiry requesting funds of $25,000 to $100,000

• Accepted throughout the calendar year. If approved, funding would generally be available within 60 days of board approval.

4. Letter of Inquiry requesting funds of less than $25,000

• Accepted throughout the calendar year. If approved, funding would generally be available within 60 days of approval.
