Mission Statement

NCHS is committed to continuing the traditions of Home Hospital Foundation, and Lafayette Home Hospital in advancing and providing health care for the benefit of the citizens of its eight county Service Area. Through the support of technological and scientific advancement, education, quality of life, and humanitarian community service, NCHS will strive to promote a Healthy Community for all area residents.

NCHS makes financial grants to qualified not-for-profit organizations that share its vision and can demonstrate the capability and organizational strength to succeed with their programs and client services in an efficient and cost conscience manor.

Primary Responsibilities:

• To operate ambulatory surgery centers to provide healthcare for women including postpartum tubal ligations and other sterilization services.
• NCHS supports certain activities of qualified local agencies, and organizations by making substantial financial grants that will:
  • Advance the technological and scientific development of health care services
  • Develop and promote community health education
  • Provide direct health care services to individuals
  • Promote a Healthy Community for Greater Lafayette
  • Improve the quality of life for the people of our Service Area
