Request for Proposals

On August 25, 2013, North Central Health Services announced it will make $1 million available for nonprofit, multi-agency, collaborative programs addressing childhood food insecurity and family well-being. Proposals must serve the citizens of one or more of the following counties: Benton, Carroll, Clinton, Fountain, Montgomery, Tippecanoe, Warren, and White.

Through these grants, NCHS will help eligible organizations launch collaborations serving, but not limited to, preschool-aged children and their families in the areas of food insecurity and nutrition; school readiness; family skills training; and school/community–parent networks.

Unique to this request for proposals, NCHS has approved two exceptions to its typical grantmaking practice: (1) proposals may include requests for non-capital program expenses and (2) while the grant coordinator must be a 501(c)(3) organization, projects may include partnerships with public agencies or other institutions.

Applicants must download the proposal guidelines at the link below and are encouraged to apply immediately. Proposal letters will be reviewed as they are received. Please contact the Grants Administrator for assistance at (765) 423-1604.
